Book Layout
After your book has been thoroughly edited at the story and grammar levels, the next step for self-publishing authors is the book layout. I offer basic typesetting using Atticus.io or Lacuna. You will provide a Microsoft Word (.docx) file of your manuscript, the e-book cover design files (wait to commission the print design files until after the layout, because the number of pages will determine the width of its spine), and any internal images, graphs, or charts (in JPG format, 300 dpi) that you would like to include. More than ten photos or complex formatting may require an upcharge on top of the flat fee.What You Get: A typeset Microsoft Word copy of your manuscript, an interior PDF of your book’s print edition and EPUB files compatible with most distributors for your e-book edition. Included with the fee, you get a formatting pass to catch basic formatting errors. This doesn’t replace a proofread.
Price: $350 (basic layout ) + $100 to $200 (for more than ten images or complex formatting)
